“Fable 2” will be a true sequel to the wildly successful original that sold more than 3 million copies, offering even more choices and building on the core gameplay theme of “Fable” where a player’s every decision continually defines who they become. “Fable 2” is the only action RPG that truly allows players to live the life they choose in an unimaginably open world environment. Set 500 years after the original, “Fable 2” will provide gamers with an epic story and innovative real-time gameplay, including a massive amount of freedom and choice to explore a vast collection of dungeons, catacombs and caves in the world of Albion. Knothole Island Background Hundreds of years ago, the tribe from Knothole Glade discovered the existence of an island far off the mainland said to offer its inhabitants full control over their weather. Tired of constant Balverine attacks and damp, dreary weather, the tribe elders decided they would find this mythic island and settle there. The ancient civilization who originally lived on the island created the magical artifacts that control the weather, and hid them in dangerous caves so that their warriors would be tested every year.

  • Choices, Consequences. The innovative gameplay pioneered in the original “Fable” provided gamers with a never-before-seen level of immersion in a truly interactive world. “Fable 2” expands upon the scope and depth of the Xbox classic by adding incredible new features and creating a wider, more complex kingdom of limitless choices and consequences. Players will have the option to play as a man or woman, get married, have children and live a life of their own design.

Revisit the sprawling world of Albion, where every house, hut, dungeon and castle is for sale, more than 500 years after the events of the original “Fable.” Witness how the world has grown and changedin incredible and unique ways as players rediscover Albion as if for the first time.
  • New and Unique Combat System. “Fable 2” pioneers a new combat system which is designed to allow players to truly master hand weapons like swords and maces, ranged combat like bows and guns and an entirely new magic system. These three disciplines, whilst being very accessible are also amazingly deep, allow players to mix combat styles and become everything from master swordsman to skilled ranger to evil magic welders.
  • A Hero’s Best Friend. This groundbreaking addition to the game is integral to the theme of unconditional love in “Fable 2.” The canine companion will act as friend, compass and protector. Players must merely feed their pooch and he will love unconditionally, creating a bond that sets up emotion-filled journeys all throughout this magical world.

Hey, Joe here. Wanted to be the first to review the new Fable 2 Platinum Hits version in the US. For everyone's interest, I included parenthesis () around what I scored the original Fable 2 game to be compared to Fable 2 Platinum Hits.

Challange 8(8)- You cannot die in this game, but when you are knocked out you can lose quite a bit of experience you have gained meaning staying alive is ...[More]

Fable 2 Platinum Hits is a great deal you get the 2 full DLC Knothole Island and Into the future or something. The game is great, but is way too short and easy there is not one challenging part in it. You can beat the main story in probably about 2 hours. I maybe put 20 hours in the game beat all the main, side quests, and the DLC...not too long for an RPG. It's really fun until you own everything...[More]

not bad.

fable 2 regular edition was a good game although the story was intensly brutal it was also a little weak, the length was also dissapointing. I did appreciate the combat system, it was simple yet deep, in my opinion
melee and magic were the deepest. I thought that the customization was okay in the regular edition but it could
have used some armor. the sound was pretty good, I also liked the...[More]
